Local Trains A narrow gauge railway links the main, line station at Ravenglass, a few miles South of Gosforth, to Dalegarth in the Eskdale Valley. A good day out is to catch the train from Ravenglass to Dalegarth, have a look around Boot, refresh yourself in the local cafe's or pubs, and walk back to Ravenglass on the well marked trails.
Bus Services Stagecoach operate an irregular timetabled bus service from Monday to Saturday between Whitehaven and Muncaster Castle. calling at Ponsonby, Gosforth, Seascale Station, Holmrook and Ravenglass.
